TEIGN BOAT HIRE
Situated on the Point Back Beach in Teignmouth, Devon, we provide self drive motor boats for hire throughout the seasonal months of April to September.
We are in a beautiful location, positioned in easy walking distance from the town and with the large point car park located directly behind our beach hut premises.
GROUP TRIPS
Each of our boats are licensed to carry up to 6 passengers and are all self drive. Voyage out to sea to cruise and fish or journey up the picturesque River Teign..
FANCY A DANGLE?
If you fancy a spot of fishing while you are out on the water we have plenty of rods and lines that can be supplied – all free of charge!
BRING THE PUP
The Back Beach is dog friendly all year and your four-legged friends are welcome on board as long as they are well behaved and stay in the boat while out!
Meet the fleet
Our lovely fleet consists of… The Margaret, Henry, Frank-C, Chris and Trebena.
- All of our boats are available to hire by the hour. Half day and full day rates are also an option.
- All boats are rigorously maintained and are regularly surveyed. All boats are inspected and licensed by the professional bodies MCA (Maritime Coastguard Agency) and MECAL.
- We have boats available and licensed for parties of any size up to 6 people.
- We provide a comprehensive safety briefing and friendly instruction on the use of the harbour/river and guidance on how to leave and enter the estuary.
- Our prices include fuel, life jackets, fishing equipment and safety instructions.
- No licence is required to take a boat out, we however need to ensure that the hirer has appropriate experience and/or are of a sensible nature.

£40 for one hour only
£150 for four hours
All our boats carry up to 6 passengers and fishing gear and life jackets provided free of charge.
Special prices are available for group/block bookings on early morning hires.
